Trivia Contests

When I first created my radio show, I used a wide assortment of trivia contests.  These contests generated a tremendous amount of response, so much so that news crews from WTVD-TV in Durham, and WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, came by the station to film reports.  These crews were amazed at the telephone response they witnessed.  It was not unusual for me to receive several hundred phone calls during my show.  I know.  I answered every one of them while continuing to back cue records…which is much more difficult that just popping a CD into a player and pushing a button. 

I would really love to be able to include trivia contests with my weekly Southern Gospel USA Countdown Show, but since the lengths of the top five songs can vary so much from week to week, the constraints of time prevent a consistent use of these contests.

So, we go to Plan B!  The Southern Gospel USA television program includes video performances, current Southern Gospel music news and TRIVIA Everyone is invited, and encouraged to participate!

Simply email your answer to gary@sgusa.com.  Be sure to include your full name, and the City and State in which you live.  If you are not camera shy, feel free to include your photo (.jpg file) along with your answer.  Who knows?  You might just see yourself on TV!

Each week, I will draw a winning name for each contest from all correct entries received.  The weekly winner will win a CD, DVD, Southern Gospel USA T-Shirt or some other prize.  Every winning name will be placed in our SGUSA Contest Box and kept for Grand Prize drawings that will occur from time to time.  So, the more questions you answer correctly, the more chances you have of winning the Grand Prize!
